Extended Blind Contour

I used the blind contour of my hand to draw a medieval castle, with the fingers as turrets and mountains in the background. Then I colored in the spaces in between the fingers, to make them stand out more. I used colored pencils and markers. I chose to create this specific artwork because when I looked at the fingers I thought they looked like castle turrets. I used contrast because I wanted to make the colors more visible. I created contrast by using the green and blue in the castle doors as well as in the grass and the moat. I changed my project a lot, at first I did not think I should color between the fingers but then I realized that the hand did not really pop out, it just blended in with the face and the other hand next to it. I think there are lots of ways I could make my artwork stronger, starting with filling in the white space. I would also draw something around the castle, on the outside of the moat, maybe trees. I would also color the hand gray, like a stone wall.
