The setting of my painting is Mt.Katahdin, with fog below it. I used water color paints to make this artwork. I chose to make this specific artwork because this is what the view was from Katahdin when I hiked it this summer, I thought it would make an interesting painting because the mountain looked like it was coming up out of the fog. I used choppy brush strokes in order to make it look like a french impressionism painting. I used a high horizon line in this painting to make it look like the fog goes on forever. My project evolved because at first I had all of my strokes going the same directions, but then I had them going different directions and I liked that better because it looked more like fog.
