Jody Goodman

Principal


Ms. Goodman has been at ASH for 15 years and an educator for 31 years. She's been an administrator at ASH for the past 10 years. 

Ms. Goodman holds a B.S. in Math Education from Northeast Louisiana University, an M.S. in School Supervision from Northwestern State University as well as an Administration Certification.

In her own words:

"Alexandria Senior High is a place that continues to grow and thrive in our community. This growth is the result of our hardworking faculty and students that want to be the best! It is an honor to lead a school where students want to learn and participate in extracurriculars. ASH is a place where students, teachers, and administrators all come together to reach new heights: in academics, athletics, and the arts."

Joshua Spikes

Assistant Principal of Discipline


Mr. Spikes is in his first year as an assistant principal at Alexandria Senior High. He has nearly two decades of experience in education and has been an administator for the past nine years. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Grambling State University, where he was a member of the World Famed Grambling State University Tiger Marching Band, as well as his Master's Plus 30 Graduate Hours from Louisiana Tech and the University of Louisiana at Monroe. 

In his own words:

"As a part of the historic Alexandria Senior High School, it is my mission to inspire students to become life-long learners and capable decision-makers who are committed to academic achievement, self-discipline, pride, leadership, integrity, and community service. Alexandria Senior High School's curriculum, instruction, assessments, and accountability will provide each scholar a sound academic foundation with a supportive learning environment. My ultimate goal is to cultivate each student's unique potential to its fullest in an ever-changing society! I believe that every student is both unique and special and can learn if given the opportunity to learn. Because of my joy for learning, I hope that this enthusiasm will flow to every student. We must remember that education is a gift that no one can take from you."

Delanie Jackson

Assistant Principal


Mrs. Jackson holds a master's degree from the University of New Orleans and a bachelor's degree in English from Louisiana State University at Shreveport. 

Mrs. Jackson taught for 11 years: three in New Orleans and eight in Central Louisiana. She's served in administration for the past two years. 

Brooke Castillo

Assistant Principal


Mrs. Castillo holds two master's degrees (Reading and Writing Specialist from University of the Cumberlands and Education Leadership from Southeastern University) and a bachelor's in English Ed. from University of the Cumberlands 

Mrs. Castillo has spent 12 years in education; nine years in Florida and three here in Central LA.

In her own words:

"As a part of the Leadership Team at Alexandria Senior High, I hope to continue to support students, teachers, and the community in building a school community that allows our students to achieve their maximum potential. As a leader, you must always be learning and growing. I look forward to learning and growing from the excellent leaders, teachers, staff, and students here at ASH."

Joseph Welch

Lead Teacher



B.S. in Biology Education from Northwestern State University

M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Northwestern State University


Mr. Welch has been in education for 12 years, eleven of those years have been here at ASH.

"As the lead teacher at ASH, I am privileged to work with the best administration, faculty, and student body in Rapides Parish. My role allows me to collaborate with teachers, students, and parents to help achieve the school’s mission and vision. I look forward to immersing myself deeper into the ASH community!"
