To be considered a landscape, an image must:
1) be of nature
2) include a horizon line
To be a strong image, an image must:
1) have a focal point/center of interest
2) have a strong composition
a. use at least one principle of design (if not multiple) to lay it out
b. did you use the rule of thirds and break your back/middle/foreground into equal thirds or
c. did you make a low horizon line because the sky was the strong point of the image or
d. did you make a high horizon line because the fore/middle ground was much more interesting than the sky
Consider taking photos:
1) at sunrise
2) at sunset
3) at the "golden hour" (you can google search what time all of these happen)
4) in different weather or seasons
5) from multiple angles (lay down/stand on your car/climb in a ditch/move to avoid a sign or a wire)
6) with multiple settings (think back to what you know from our iSpy assignment)
7) utilizing the framing technique
8) by playing with what is in and out of focus
