Leadership Training Opportunities

Professional Learning Strands- Strand Registration Begins September 2022

Foundations of Leadership

Participants will identify the knowledge, skills, values and dispositions of effective Teacher Leaders and develop and/or enhance those qualities through engagement in discussions, participation in simulations/role play activities, and analyzation of various scenarios. Utilizing the information gained during the sessions, teachers will implement and reflect upon those identified skills, values and dispositions as teacher leaders in an area of their choosing within their school setting during the current school year.

Foundations of Instructional Coaching

Participants of this strand will learn about various coaching models and techniques based on the three-part coaching structure of Impact Cycles-Identify, Learn, Improve- while engaging in various activities including discussions, participation in simulations/role play activities, and analyzation of various scenarios to support implementation of coaching best practices. This strand is intended for teacher leaders with an interest in coaching including mentor teachers and novice instructional coaches.
