Check your mail for the 25-26 Relay GSE AmeriCorps swag lineup: sweatshirt, lanyard, and drink tumbler! AmeriCorps members are required to sport the “big A” while performing service. America’s Field Trip Contest: America’s Field Trip is a nationwide contest that invites students across the country in grades 3–12 to be part of our nation’s 250th anniversary. Students can earn a chance to travel to explore one of America’s landmarks, like Yellowstone National Park, Boston’s Revolutionary War landmarks, or the launch pads at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida by submitting artwork or essays to answer the prompt: What does America mean to you? The Martin Luther King, Jr., National Day of Service is a defining moment each year when Americans across the country take action to create the Beloved Community of Dr. King’s dream. MLK Day is a federal holiday and designated as a National Day of Service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities. This year, on January 19th, we will celebrate 31 years of MLK Day of Service and its impact as more Americans embrace the idea that citizenship involves taking an active role in improving communities.

AmeriCorps Midyear Upcoming Required Action Items: Need a refresher on what action items to expect throughout the year? Click here for the AmeriCorps Year at a Glance. Just around the corner in mid-February, you can look out for information about AmeriCorps Midyear Action Items. Here’s what to expect:
1) Midterm Evaluation: will capture your midyear AmeriCorps progress. You will simply need to review and e-sign the evaluation (via DocuSign).
2) AmeriCorps-102 Student Roster Report: is part one of AmeriCorps data collection requirement. Complete it by reporting the number of PK-12 students you serve on a consistent basis (via direct link to your email). Relay is required to submit this data to the AmeriCorps federal agency each year.
