Midyear Evaluations: Congratulations – you have officially reached the halfway point of the 2021-22 AmeriCorps service term! You received an email with key information on February 14th. Please be sure to complete your Midyear Evaluation (email from DocuSign) and AmeriCorps-102: Student Roster Report (email from Relay AmeriCorps) by March 11th. Curious to know if we've received your items? Pop into the submission tracker (click here) - checkboxes next to your name means we have your materials!
Midyear Raffle: But wait, there’s more! If you complete required items and submit a member spotlight by 11:59pm ET on Friday, March 11, you will be entered into a raffle for a $30 Amazon gift card! Your name highlighted in yellow on the submission tracker means you are entered in the raffle. Stay tuned for Relay’s AmeriCorps team to announce a winner from each location March 18th.
Member Spotlight: So how do you submit a spotlight? Check out the Member Hub to nominate yourself (click here) or a fellow member (click here). If you haven’t received your AmeriCorps swag yet, feel free to submit a picture of you in your classroom without the AmeriCorps logo. Check out nominations that have already been submitted while you are there !
AmeriCorps Swag: 2021-22 swag items are ordered and will be shipped to your listed home address within the next 1- 2 weeks. Thank you for your patience as there have been shipping delays due to COVID-19. Each member will receive a lanyard and jacket. AmeriCorps members are required to sport the “big A” while performing service, so we encourage you to wear your lanyard daily. Please reach out to support@relay.edu if you have questions.
Financial Health Webinar Series: America’s Service Commissions (ASC) is pleased to offer a special Financial Health webinar series. Two topics coming up are Being a Savvy Spender and Making Credit Make Sense. These webinars are intended for AmeriCorps members with access to MAP to learn more about financial health during and after a term of service. Wondering if you have access to MAP? 27th Annual MLK Day Across the Country: From coast to coast, thousands of Americans showed up to serve and honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on January 17, 2022. MLK Day grantees gave back to their communities this year. You can also scroll Twitter to look at the good deeds and do-gooders in action from around the country.

AmeriCorps Week: Mark your calendars — Sunday, March 13th kicks off AmeriCorps Week! Each year AmeriCorps designates a week in March as an annual celebration of all the ways national service members — like YOU — give their time and energy to improve communities across the nation. The national theme this year is Together, we are AmeriCorps. Join us as we celebrate the impact of our program and offer thanks to each and every one of you for serving others. Together, we can help the country recover and come back stronger. Be sure to check out Relay’s Instagram and Facebook pages for special features throughout the week.
Day of the A: Thursday of AmeriCorps Week (March 17th) is Day of the A! Show some AmeriPride by posting a picture in AmeriCorps swag! Wear your jacket, lanyard, or other AmeriCorps item and post a photo on your personal social media channels with the hashtag #DayoftheA.
Midyear Refresher Deck: Your campus may have already shared this helpful resource with you. If not, click here to view a few slides with information on what you can expect for the remainder of your AmeriCorps term (see slide 4). Look out for more information about End of Year action items next month.
2021 Tax Resources: Tax season is in full swing. If you used $600 or more of an AmeriCorps Segal Education Award in 2021, log into your My AmeriCorps Portal to access your 1099 tax form. You will see My Tax Statements listed on the left hand menu. Please call the AmeriCorps Hotline at 1-800-942-2677 if you have any issues logging in. You can also locate links to more tax information (including an IRS Free File Program) on our Benefits & Resources page under Segal Education Award.
