AmeriCorps Closeout: The 2022-23 service year is nearing the end! All Relay AmeriCorps members will be required to complete closeout steps by Monday, May 22 in order to be exited from the term and earn any eligible Segal AmeriCorps Education Award. Please reference the email you received on Monday, May 1 for more information about all closeout steps (click here for overview). Pop into the submission tracker (click here) - checkboxes next to your name means we have your materials. If you have completed all items, thank you! Please reach out to support@relay.edu if you have any questions about closeout items.

Attention Chicago Members: Serve Illinois is hosting a National Service Virtual Summit on Friday, May 19th. This virtual event is designed to celebrate AmeriCorps members and will include networking opportunities and relationship-building activities along with workshops in the areas of community-based skill-building, professional development, and personal growth and development. AmeriCorps Launches New Campaign: Click to view the new video, "Choose AmeriCorps," designed to build awareness of AmeriCorps and boost member and volunteer recruitment. Service allows Americans to turn their determination, compassion, and creativity into practical solutions for neighbors and strangers, alike. Whether they have recently graduated, have had a job or two, or have retired from a long career, anyone can serve with AmeriCorps or AmeriCorps Seniors.

Official Exit Confirmation: Once you complete all closeout steps by Monday, May 22, Relay AmeriCorps can officially exit you from the 2022-23 service term. (Think of this as your AmeriCorps graduation!) Upon exit, stay tuned in June- early July for an official exit email from Relay AmeriCorps with important Segal AmeriCorps Education Award information if eligible.
Using Your Education Award: If you were eligible to earn a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award, it will be available in your My AmeriCorps Portal in 1-3 business days. after the “AmeriCorps Exit Date” column in the closeout tracker — Relay has not yet released an award if no date is listed. Follow the steps in this Support Center article no later than July 3, 2023 if you wish to release your award to Relay.

AmeriCorps 2023-24 Enrollment Preview: Current AmeriCorps members planning to return to Relay for the 2023-24 school year will be required to complete a new AmeriCorps application for a second year of service. However, you will not have to complete new background checks since we can use the Truescreen and Fieldprint checks you completed this year. Stay tuned for enrollment communications this summer!
