Our school community recently gathered for an immersive STREAM Night, where students and families explored the intersections of Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, the Arts, and Math. From hands-on science experiments and custom slime-making to high-tech robotics demonstrations, participants of all ages enjoyed a night of discovery and innovation.
Despite the wintry weather, our community showed incredible generosity and support for RCS at Taste of KCK. We were thrilled to welcome guests into the STREAM Lab to showcase our students’ innovation in action. Visitors explored a variety of student-led projects, from assembling robots and engineering functional pinball machines to creating custom 3D designs in Tinkercad. We are immensely proud of our students' talent and grateful for your continued support!
Our fifth graders are kicking off robotics season by organizing and restocking their VEX IQ kits in preparation for next week’s design and build challenges. Thanks to Jo Weller from the Brown Family Foundation, who connected us with a donation of unused robotics kits, we now have 14 boxes of additional parts to fuel innovation. These resources will give students more opportunities to practice engineering design, coding, and problem-solving. Thank you, BFFKC, for helping us make this connection!
Over the past month, Bishop Ward students have been volunteering their time to help kindergarten, first, and second graders with various projects. Their support has been invaluable, and the younger students truly appreciate their high school buddies.
