Students explored traits and heredity and then used this knowledge to design 3D puppies based on their parents’ characteristics. For each trait, they rolled a die to see whether the puppy would take after its mom or dad. They created their models in Tinkercad, and the finished puppies were 3D printed so students could personalize them with Sharpie.
Students explored the different types of communities and created a lap book to showcase what they learned about rural, suburban, and urban areas.
Students applied their knowledge of area and perimeter by designing their own mini dream rooms. Using creativity and math skills, they planned layouts, discussed measurements, and saw how geometry is all around us.
Students explored After the Fall by Dan Santat, where Humpty Dumpty shows resilience by building a paper plane bird to help him overcome his fear of falling. Inspired by the story, students engaged in various activities and created their own brave birds "hatching" to remind themselves that they too can be brave.
