After constructing their 3D home models, students extended their learning by adding realistic suburban elements—such as yards, landscaping, and outdoor features—using Model Magic. 

Students are exploring different types of communities by designing their own 3D houses for a suburban area. They will add details to make their mini homes realistic, helping them understand the features and characteristics of suburban neighborhoods. 

First graders explored different types of communities and learned the key traits that make each one unique. To showcase their learning, they created Trioramas, combining creativity and knowledge to bring their communities to life.

Students read After the Fall by Dan Santat, a story about how Humpty Dumpty overcomes his fear of falling by bravely building and flying a paper bird. Inspired by his courage, students participated in a variety of related activities and then created their own 'brave birds' as a reminder that they, too, can face their fears with bravery.
