Our kindergarteners explored the magic of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade by learning how iconic parade floats and character balloons are designed. Each student chose a character, created a float plan, and then brought their idea to life by decorating a mini float topped with a 3D-printed model of their selected character.
Kindergartners are exploring community helpers through hands-on learning! They are creating a book by dressing-up characters as firefighters, doctors, builders, and other community helpers, helping young learners understand the important roles these individuals play in our community.
Students examined a bird’s-eye view of our school and created their own maps of the community, complete with a key to represent each feature.
Students read David Goes to School by David Shannon and discussed the importance of making good choices and being responsible classroom citizens. Afterwards, they brainstormed ways they could demonstrate good citizenship both at school and at home and drew pictures of those ideas.
