Initial Setup: Before we start, please ensure that your grid settings are as follows:
Major Grid spacing: 100mm
Minor Subdivisions: 20
(This will make every small square 5 mm x 5 mm)
To change these at any time, go to the 'Grids and Snaps' tool in the bottom toolbar, then 'Grid Settings'.
Step 2: Select the drawing plane.
Press the R key on your keyboard to enter the RECTANGLE command.
Select the plane that you would like to start sketching on. In this instance, we will use the XY plane (the floor).
Step 3: Draw Three Connected Squares
Draw your first square measuring 15 mm x 15 mm (or 3 grid squares by 3 grid squares).
Add a second 5 mm x 5 mm square attached to the top-left of the first one.
Draw a third 15 mm x 15 mm square connected to the shape, matching the reference video shown.
Step 4: Fillet (Curve) the Corners
Select the Fillet tool from the top menu.
Select the top-right and top-left corners of the glasses, and enter a fillet dimension of 3 mm.
Select the 4 bottom corners of the glasses, and enter a fillet dimension of 7 mm.
Important: Do not finish your sketch yet!
Step 5: Fillet (Curve) the Bridge
With the Fillet tool still active, select the top-right and top-left corners of the bridge and add a fillet of 2 mm.
