[ ] Check LED direction: Ensure the longer leg is connected to power/pin (+) and the shorter leg is connected to Ground (-).
[ ] Use a resistor: Verify that components like LEDs have a resistor in their circuit so they don't burn out.
[ ] Check breadboard rows: Make sure your wires and component legs are plugged into the correct, interconnected holes.
[ ] Verify sensor wires: Double-check that VCC goes to 5V, GND goes to Ground, and the OUT wire goes to the correct digital or analog pin.
[ ] Try a different USB port: If the computer isn't recognizing the board, unplug it and try plugging it into another USB port.
[ ] Match code to reality: Verify that the pin number selected in your mBlock code is the exact same pin your wire is plugged into on the board.
[ ] Check starting blocks: If you are uploading code, you must start with the "When Arduino Uno starts up" block, not the green flag block.
[ ] Update firmware: If you are using "Live Mode" and it isn't responding, go to the connection menu and click "Update Firmware".
[ ] Reconnect after updating: Remember that mBlock disconnects after a firmware update; you must manually click "connect" again before running code.
[ ] Test with the Panda: If a sensor isn't working right, use Live Mode to have the on-screen Panda "say" the sensor's value so you can read the raw data.
