Step 2: To create a design using X Tool Creative Space, you will need to use 3 processes shown in this design:
Red lines: These parts will be cut out.
Black lines: These parts will be scored
Blue text and shapes: These parts will be engraved.

Step 3: To create basic shapes, use the following hot keys:
R: Rectangle
C: Circle
L: Line
Resize a shape by selecting the object and entering width (W) and height (h) dimensions.

Step 4: To sort lines into categories:
Select the object
Navigate to the bottom-left of the window
Select the coloured dot
Select 'move to' and change the colour.

Step 5: Set the material:
Go to the top-right corner where it says 'user-defined material'
Press the button
In the pop-up window, select corrugated card
Note: If the corrugated card material does not appear then please search for it.

Step 6: Adjust the settings:
To adjust the cut power and speed (recommended) simply select the cut tab and enter new values.
Set power to 70%
Set speed to 20%

Step 7: Check all settings and proceed to the laser cutter.

Step 8: Load your card into the laser cutter
Ensure the card is clamped down
Ensure the depth is set (see laser cutter tutorial step 5)

Step 10: Cut all of your extra parts ready for the assembly process.

Step 11: Assemble your game:
You may use a craft knife for parts
You may add extras such as sticks, or polystyrene balls (these will be provided for you).

Add your files to your class folder - the files will be moved to the 'complete' folder after they have been cut.
