Forex Transactions

Background

From time to time users will need to create transactions in currencies that are other than South African Rand (ZAR).

This document will show how to: 1) Update Currency Exchange Rates in the database & 2) Create a Quote in a Foreign Currency

Updating Currency Exchange Rates

Step 1: Navigate to Setup>Settings

Step 2: Search for Currencies in the settings menu and click the edit button

Step 3: Edit one or all of the Currencies available.

Creating a Quote in Foreign Currency

Step 1: Navigate to the quote module and create a new quote.

Step 2: Select a customer and before adding any items to the quote, set the currency of the transaction and edit the exchange rate if necessary. 

Step 3: Add items to quote as usual.

NB: Unit Prices for Items and Custom can be altered in the grid under the Unit Price (Forex) heading. Estimates can only be edited by opening the estimates and editing the price inside the estimate.
