Pamela Zelen
I was born and raised in the Seattle area. My husband and I fell in love with the Olympic Peninsula while camping in Brinnon and moved here in early 1996. I enjoy the beauty of the PNW as well as spending time with family, reading historical fiction and traveling.Â
We homeschooled our four children from preschool through high school. Our schooling took place independently until 2008 when we were one of the first families to join the PEARL program. I joined the PEARL staff during the 2010-2011 school year as a field trip coordinator.
Our youngest adult child left home in 2020 officially making us empty nesters. This happened just as our parents started needing more of our help. We have been taking care of my parents and my mother-in-law for the past three years.
