Jeannine mcguire

My background in education is varied. I spent many years as an Environmental Educator providing hands-on, outdoor science experiences and nurturing a love and respect for our connection to the natural world. I worked in public and private sectors, taught mostly upper elementary (4th-5th) in the brick-and-mortar school setting, and subbed at every grade level. Once I had my own kids, I discovered my love and passion for staying home to teach and learn as a homeschool parent. As a PEARL parent, I love how creative, innovative, flexible, and independent we can be while still having some structure and support. I’m really inspired by our program!

In my spare time, I love to backpack, travel, garden, make functional art, play sports, and in general be outside! I am a lifelong learner and am also ready to return to my role as an educator. As a recently hired PEARL faculty member, I love to talk about curriculum, find the right fit for each individual, and am interested in how I can best support our community. Let’s be creative!
