I have been a PEARL teacher since the 2021/2022 school year! I have loved the opportunity to help families create individualized education plans for their families, while also being able to be home with mine! Before coming to PEARL, I taught in several states, including North Carolina and Washington, and also worked with teachers in Namibia when completing my Student Teaching! Most of my time has been spent in K-1 classrooms, but I have worked with many other age groups through extracurriculars and coaching.  I have a BAE in Elementary education(K-8) with an emphasis in social studies! I also have a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University, and am currently working on adding a middle school humanities endorsement to my license.

I live in Vancouver, Wa with my husband, our son Finnley, dog Lenny, and cat, Mo! We love to adventure as a family. You can find us hiking, gardening, and enjoying basketball.  Our very favorite is experiencing new places together while travelling. Last year we were able to spend Finnley's first birthday exploring Scotland and are hoping to plan another trip soon! Coming to work for PEARL was especially special for me, as I grew up in Quilcene, and graduated from Quilcene HS, Go Rangers! Beginning to work for PEARL was in a way, me coming back to my roots, and I love getting to work alongside some of the amazing educators I had in my past!
