Accessing Support

  • You will be able to access Learning Support Staff through the Educational Support Team.

  • You will be able to post a message on the site to get help from a Learning Support or EAL/D teacher.

  • To post a message, find your name in the menu on the left-hand side of the Team

What happens if I need additional support outside of the classroom?

  • If you need additional support in your academic classroom, please contact your classroom teacher via the Teams Chat or private email as your first point of call. If you need further support, please contact the Head of Learning Area between 8.00am and 4.00pm.

What happens if I usually access educational support? Can I still access this support online?

  • The Educational Support Team will be available during school hours and accessible to those students who already have a working relationship with member of this department. You will have access to the support staff via the Learning Support Team. See instructions in 'How to access help from the Learning Support Team' document below.

Can I email my regular support teacher?

Yes you can. They will direct you to continue the conversation with them on the Teams site.

Will homework help be available?

Yes, but it will run at a different timeslot. We will post a message up on the Educational Support Teams site to let you know when homework help is available. We will set up homework help as a meeting that you will be invited to.

Can I get help during class time?

Yes, but if you are in a lesson you will need to let your classroom teacher know by posting up a 'Time Out Ted' emoji .

It is important that you wait until the teacher has finished giving lesson instructions before posting a Time Out Ted. In most lessons, you will be given instructions first then given some individual/small group time to work. This is the best time to place up your Time out Ted if you would like to see a support teacher.

Where do I find 'Time Out Ted'?

When you go to post a message hover over the emoji icon.

What if I can’t see my name?

Email your regular support teacher or Mrs Lim (llim@pymblelc.nsw.edu.au) and they will help.
