Xylo is an app that you can download to use with the xylophone and mallet attachments. You can program Dash to play notes and move at the same time.
TIPS
To calibrate, click on the three lines at the bottom left and then click on calibrate. Then follow the instructions on your screen.
Click the back arrow when you're done creating, so that you can play your song.
To delete a measure, click on the trash icon at the bottom, then click on the trash icon above the measure that you'd like to delete. To finish, click on the trash icon at the bottom again.
To delete music notes as you are creating a song, simply tap on the note you would like to delete.
To add a measure click on the blue and white plus symbol.
As you create, the xylophone continues to play the same measure repeatedly until you add another measure or finish your song by clicking the back button.
You might want to start off by having students choose an already created song from the library and then trying to modify the song.
Under Songs, if you click on the blue plus button that says New Song, you will see a list of pre-programmed songs to choose from. Or choose Empty Song to create your own.
You can drag and drop measures using the orange crosshairs at the top of the measure.
At the bottom of each measure, you can assign Dash a motion (forward, backward, left, right) and also choose how many times that measure is repeated before continuing to the next measure.
