Path introduces children to sequences, events, and sensors through its simple draw, drag, and drop interface. Plan, program, and execute an adventure for Dash while learning fundamental concepts of computational thinking. This app is ideal for K-2 students!
Basic steps to completing the challenges in the Path app:
1) Draw the entire path to where you want Dash to go with a single "line" of code.
2) Add nodes to the path by dragging and dropping to give Dash special abilities.
(After adding a Sound or Wait node, you can tap anywhere on the background to reveal the rest of the node options again.)
3) Press Dash's top button or the robot on the screen to watch Dash go!
Unlock 4 themes , and then make up your own adventure!
How to Select Different Nodes
1. Click on the box to switch out nodes/abilities.
2. Your toolbar will appear at the bottom with tools that you already have selected. (They will appear slightly darkened in the top menu.) To add more tools, tap to select. You can also tap on nodes in your toolbar to remove. Click the checkmark when done.
What happens if I crash?
If Dash crashes into something in its path, you will get to choose from the two options below: PUSH or RESET. If you select Push, that means that Dash will continue it's program from where it left off when it crashed.
If you select RESET, it will start it's program from the beginning.
Either way, I recommend either moving Dash to an open space or moving the obstacle out of the way before selecting PUSH or RESET.
Challenges
Once you get to the race car challenges and beyond, you can click on the Notepad icon to choose challenges or to Reset the challenges.
