Title of Innovative Practice : Google Tour creator to teach History

Ms Pooja Gawde used a Google Tour creator to create a virtual tour of the stupas found at Sopara. These stupas are in a dilapidated state and hence one cannot approach them at close quarters. However, through a virtual tour one can examine finer aspects of the ruins and thus interpret the historical sources without physically approaching them. The innovative e practice was first tried out during the internship lessons. Ms Pooja then proceeded to showcase the same at a competition for innovative practices organised by Lord’s Universal College of Education. She won the first place for her innovative approach in teaching.
