Title of Innovative Practice : Lapbook Laboratory

Conceptualised by Ms Alisha Athaide, Ms Jonella Gonsalves and Ms Premal Popat of F.Y.B.Ed

A lap book is a book created in such a way that it facilitates constructivist learning. A workshop on the same was held under the guidance of Mr Anthony Dias. Students of F.Y.B.Ed created their own lap books on different topics. Three lap books prepared by Ms Alisha Athaide, Ms Jonella Gonsalves and Ms Premal Popat were selected as exemplary because they depicted how lap books can function as a laboratory in Science.  On 28 February 2019, they participated in a competition on 'Innovative Teaching Practices in Science' organised by Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, Mankhurd. The team presented their Lap book Laboratory to the judges. Their efforts bore fruit and the team was awarded first place in the competition.
