About Research Cell

Anweshan Research Cell conducts workshops in Action Research. The Cell organises Annual Paper Reading Sessions and programmes that support reseach activities.

Action Research workshops began from 16 October 2023. A series of sessions were organised to help students understand the basics of Action Research. Dr Agnes Dcosta oriented the students about Research in Education, Meaning of Action Research , steps in Action Research.  Sessions on 17 October focused on review of related literature where Dr Dcosta demonstrated the use of online platforms like Shodhganga, Google Scholar etc. Students visited the library to browse through theses , action research projects and other research related books. On 20 October, the faculty members helped students to formulate tools for the topics of Action Research and also to devise an Action Plan for the proposed study. 

Research papers were presented by students of FYBEd on 8 Feb 2024. In May 2024 students of SYBEd presented their papers based on Action Research .

Workshop on Action Research

A workshop on Action Research was organised for students of SYBEd. Dr Agnes Dcosta delivered the lead lectures and oriented students about different areas of Educational Research, research tools and review of related literature. Thereafter all faculty members guided their group and helped students to prepare research tools and plans of action for the Action Research chosen. Further guidance was given to complete the action researh projects successfully. Students then presented their action research findings in their groups on 13 May 2023.

Research paper reading session was carried out on 20 Sept 2022. Sr Jerry Anthony presented her paper on ‘ Problems faced by teachers during online teaching’ and Ms Sweenal Pereira presented her paper on ‘Experience of students during online class’. The presenters presented the analysis of the data collected and also share their conclusions from the studies.
