The purchasing plan for this year has focussed on:

Library usage and statistics
Loan Pool and technical support for student devices operates daily by Te Awhina Dewes.
Yulieth Ospina from Manaikalani accounts/contracts shares office space 4 days per week.
The Library is used daily from 10am-11am by voluntary reading tutors managed by Jenni Clarke.
Classes are timetabled for daily visits.
Lunchtime opening hours from 1.00pm -1.30pm daily.
Y7 and Y8 Immunisation catch-ups begin again in Term 4.
Hearing and Vision tested in Term 2
New student enrolments managed by Administration staff.
Library / ICT
Cloud based Access It programme automatically updates to the latest version of its software.
SCIS is still the number one preference for cataloguing record, the annual subscription for 2025 is $652.00
Library Staffing/Professional Development
Mrs Doreen Fester is the Librarian Assistant and continues to do an outstanding job.
The team of 4 student librarians from Year 6 have helped with a variety of tasks, especially with lunch time activities and
re- shelving tasks.

Focus 2025
Review and renew wall and book displays to reflect current term, high interest topics and Language weeks.
Annually purchase New Zealand History and NZ Book Awards.
Filling some topic gaps identified by teachers as top priority. (collaborate with DP)
Encourage and train student librarians to assist in book returns, book reviews and story telling.
Language weeks - Coordinate with any interested staff/whanau in lunchtime story telling and crafts.
Mrs Fester is still eager to present ‘Book Week’, Character Dress up- date TBC with DP
1-1 Professional Development for Librarian using Access iT database in 2025
