Our Assessment and presentation of National Standardised Assessment data relies on NZCER's PAT Tests in Reading and Maths and MOEs e-asTTle test for Writing.
This Reading and Writing Testing covers Y4-Y10, whilst Maths covers Y3 - Y10.
As well as this we gather Junior Data from Y1 - Y3 using the tried and true tools of School Entry Assessment and we also use BSLA the assessment schedule for Junior Structured Literacy.
We have gathered cohort data; i.e. gender, ethnicity and year group, under the Assessment Header and along with this have collated data arising from Teacher Judgement. In each case we have provided a very brief, high level analysis of what's going on in each data set.
All of these assessments are gathered under strict conditions from Pt England School, all of the Manaiakalani Schools and all of the Manaiakalani Outreach Schools. This provides a very large and extremely valuable data set from approx. 120 schools.
Data moderation is carried out in each testing period, schools then analyse and synthesise their own data as well as receiving from Ed Potential, a School Report, the Cluster Report and a Report from across Manaiakalani and its Network.
All of this gives us an unusually rich body of data. What matters most is that whilst remaining coherent with the macro findings and recommendations across our CoL and CoLs, we also have our own clear understanding of our own data, trends and resulting strategic direction.
