9-13 November 2025 - Faculty of Science, PSU, successfully concluded the 2025 Reciprocal Mobility Program with Universiti Malaya (UM), held from November 9–13, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur. A total of 60 undergraduate students participated in the program, with 30 students hosted by UM’s Faculty of Science and another 30 students welcomed by the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology. The delegation was accompanied by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chinnapong Angsuchotmetee and Dr. Somphop Linsoontharakul, who supported the academic and cultural engagements throughout the visit. The program aimed to strengthen institutional collaboration and provide meaningful international exposure for PSU students.
Program at the Faculty of Science, Universiti Malaya
The Faculty of Science offered a structured program that began with a guided tour of significant university landmarks, including Dewan Tunku Canselor, Halaman Press, and the Museum of Asian Art. Students participated in academic and experiential learning activities, such as a teamwork module led by Dr. Muhammad Faizal Zulkifli and hands-on sessions at Makerspace@UM, featuring demonstrations in IoT and 3D printing. The UM Chemistry Society also hosted a fragrance science session, introducing students to perfume formulation through practical demonstrations. The program concluded with a cultural excursion across Kuala Lumpur, offering valuable insights into Malaysia’s heritage and urban environment.
Program at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FCSIT), Universiti Malaya
At FCSIT, students engaged in a parallel academic program focused on digital innovation and technology. Facilitated by UM student buddies, participants attended two key modules: Data Visualization, taught by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kasturi Dewi Varathan, and App Development Without Coding, conducted by Dr. Asmiza Abdul Sani. The schedule included many activities on campus and a full-day excursion to major cultural and educational sites in Kuala Lumpur, allowing students to experience Malaysia’s artistic, cultural, and modern attractions.
The successful completion of the 2025 Reciprocal Mobility Program reflects the strong and ongoing partnership between Prince of Songkla University and Universiti Malaya. Through academic engagement, cultural learning, and collaborative activities, the program provided PSU students with valuable international experience and supported the continued development of academic cooperation between the two institutions.
