332-425 Geohazards

Physical bases of geological hazards with earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes and landslides; physical bases of hydrological hazards with flood, storm, drought; mitigation efforts; early warning systems; human and economic factors; case studies from the region; discussion of ongoing geohazards events in the region and worldwide.


The course will be 3-4 hours per week. Weekly schedule (day/time) will be arranged with all students during the first week.
