Kimmy Schuelke is an EL teacher at Creekside Elementary and the Instructional Technology Coach for K–12 EL and Multilingual educators in Plainfield School District 202. This is her 19th year teaching in the district, with prior experience in kindergarten through second grade.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications and Journalism from Northern Illinois University, a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Lewis University, and an ESL endorsement from the University of St. Francis. Kimmy is a Google Level 1 Certified Educator, SEL and yoga certified through Breathe for Change, and the author of The Tangle.
Kimmy speaks at conferences on multilingual supports, educational technology, trauma informed teaching, somatic work, and social justice in education. As a tech coach, she enjoys helping teachers find practical tools and strategies that support multilingual learners and create more inclusive classroom
