Courtney Murray

Courtney Murray is 4th-grade honors teacher at Walker’s Grove Elementary School, currently in her fifth year within the district. A graduate of The University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Courtney also holds specialized endorsements in both Reading and Writing. She is deeply committed to using technology to enhance the learning experience, holding a Google Certified Educator (Level 1) status and specialized training in both Book Creator and Boddle Learning. In her classroom, she creates an engaging, tech-forward environment by integrating her favorite digital tools, including Canva, Gimkit, Book Creator, and Boddle Learning, to spark student creativity and curiosity.

Beyond her daily instruction, Courtney serves as a leader in her building by heading the Tech Buddies program. This initiative fosters a collaborative school culture by pairing older students with younger peers to explore various applications and build digital literacy together. When she is not teaching or exploring the latest ed-tech innovations, Courtney is often found traveling the world or pursuing her passion for photography.
