Today's Focus: Retell
As readers, one habit we have is retelling at the end of a chapter or when we're done reading. When retelling, we want to make sure we talk about the big important events. We think about what the characters want, the problem, and what the characters are doing in order to solve the problem. Today when you're done reading, retell out loud, then jot the important events down on a timeline or in bullet form.
