Winter’s End
By Chloe Willis
When the grass is damp
And the daffodils grow
And the soil shines with melting snow
And the birds come back
And the cool winds blow
And petunias wait for the cold to go
When the leaves are green
And the animals wake
And dragonflies flutter ‘round the lake
And the crickets chirp
And the new twigs break
And the salmon return for old times’ sake
When the ground is hard
And the rain is cold
And the wood in the attic blooms with mold
And the sky is gray
And the clouds are bold
And the dying grass is tinged with gold
When the golden sun
Comes along
And ushers Winter to be gone
And the river runs
And the days are long
And the birds come out to sing their song
Let it be known
That the seasons have changed
And Spring has come to town.
Spring

Spring is mental health season
The time for new beginnings
When you stop fighting with your friends
And instead of playing video games you take the dogs for a walk
Or take a shower
Where you start baking cookies
And go out for ice cream with your family
And your parents don’t fight as much
And you take pictures downtown
Spring is the season where it sunny rains
And there are double rainbows
And when you stand outside you get wet
But it feels good
Spring is the time when you go over to your friends house
And you have barbecue and cold drinks
And you just feel nice
Spring is the time when you start to feel whole
Greens & Beans
By: Liam
Grass is green, it has arrived again. Green oh green, my old friend. Once I realized that it's showers once more, I remember green and his flowers and once again.. my old friend. Power is one thing, but green is another. If you hold onto it tight and don't let it go, you may consider it a brother. Grass is green, beans are red, I may consider that you go to the shed. In that shed, spread the green and the bean submarine. Don't intervene and spread the beans. Rub the beans on your belly, get all smelly, and don't tell Shelly. Spread the beans, and the greens.
