Dandelion Growing in Concrete
Dandelions are resilient. Here's one growing out of concrete that I took at Lane Middle school a few years ago. Some people consider them weeds, but dandelions are healing foods that can flourish anywhere. Dandelions are ancient medicine that were used by Indigenous people since time immemorial for a variety of illness and pain. Every part of the dandelion is edible: its flowers, roots, and leaves. I am always inspired by their ability to thrive in harsh environments.
