Google Meet allows you to broadcast and the students to watch. This is powerful because you can give a simple link meet.google.com and then the classroom name for them to join.
Google Hangout is much like an instant messenger like Facetime. We don't recommend using Hangout Video with students. Google Meet is a much better application for students to watch you and for you to hear them. Great for making an audio call!
