Features and functionality of Panopto

Panopto has a powerful editor which allows the user to cut sections, insert documents and add alternative streams (from an audio or visual source). It allows you to insert your own material, which could be an older video or a video filmed from a mobile device on location, and repurpose it into usable and current learning material. It is a requirement that all new recordings in September 2020 have captions available. Any video recorded or uploaded into Panopto will generate automatic captions which are easily editable, meaning time can be concentrated on the material itself rather than the process of transcribing.
