Hold the spacebar to move around the document while a tool is active.
To make the image bigger or smaller you can:
use the navigator panel
hold CTRL and press “-” or “+” key
use the view drop down in the menu bar.
To resize an image, have the layer selected then either:
hold CTRL and press “t”
go to the menu bar under edit
To resize an image without stretching it activate free transform then hold SHIFT while dragging a corner handle.
Located in the menu bar under file. This will preserve a copy of your work to the last location with the last used file type.
Located in the menu bar under file. This action will give you the option to preserve your work with a new name, location, and file type.
This panel will allow you to put image on top of or below other layers. Layers on top will hide layers below.
Also known as marching ants. While active, only pixels inside the marching ants can be edited.
To remove the marching ants you can:
Hold CTRL and press “d”
In the menu bar go to select
While using any selection tool this button will appear in the options bar. This will bring up a new window to refine the selection.
To make a perfect circle or square using the marquee tools hold shift while dragging.
You can move the origin point of a marquee selection by holding spacebar while still holding down the left mouse button and dragging.
To reset the organization of tools, bars, and panels go to Menubar > Window > Workspace > Reset Essentials
To the left of each layer will be a box or eye icon that can be toggled to hide or reveal a layer
A panel that can be found by going to:
Menubar > Window > History
This panel will allow you to jump to previous actions by clicking on the grey area of each action.
By clicking on the layer and selecting “CREATE CLIPPING MASK” the pixels on the CURRENT LAYER will replace with the AVAILABLE Pixels on the layer directly below.
