I can use the brush selection tool to remove an image's background and leave a clean edge.
I can rotate Images.
In this assignment, you will practice removing background using a more precise selection tool, the brush selection tool! You will also practice rotating objects while in the "free transform" edit mode.
While practicing these new skills you will also need to use all the skills practiced in the previous assignments like resizing with constrained proportions, layer order, moving objects, saving, and document setup.
Like always, remember to use the "gear" icon in the lower right corner to make the videos HD quality while viewing.
1pts Document Setup. Work is 8.5in wide and 11in tall, 300ppi, RGB color mode, and includes a title on your website.
3pts Image Size & Location. All images (including the background) are ROTATED, RESIZED, and MOVED on the artboard to match the example. All images are resized using CONSTRAINED PROPORTIONS to prevent stretching and squishing of the images.
4pts Selections - All food-related images have their backgrounds removed with clean edges to match the example using the QUICK SELECTION BRUSH tool.
2pts Mastery - An additional work is submitted with any size document. USING THE SAME BACKGROUND and with 5 high-quality images of your choice with their backgrounds removed using the Quick Selection Brush tool.
In this video I review setting up the document, saving images, and placing embedded images onto the art board.
In this video I demonstrate the new tool, the QUICK SELECTION BRUSH. Remember to change the brush size! A larger brush size will select MORE at a time and a smaller brush size will select LESS at a time.
In this video, I show how to SUBTRACT the donut hole from the selection with the quick selection brush.
In this video I show how to use the quick selection brush tool with the most difficult image in the set... the fork!
