Instructions:
Time to construct your bowl prototype! Remember that you need to design WITH NO UNDERCUTS!
Rubric:
4pts Design.
Work includes a "coin" at the bottom with space between the edge of the coin and your bowl
Work can sit level on the table (use a rim or feet)
Work has NO UNDERCUTS
2pts Slicing.
Design takes 2 hours or less
Design uses 200 grams or less of material
2pts Documentation.
3 Images of model (front, side, and corner)
1 Image of slicing preview (any program)
2pts Mastery.
An additional unique design is submitted.
Set the units to Millimeters
Set grid size to 110mm to 110mm
Drag out a cylinder and set the height to 3mm
Set the cylinder length and width to 110mm
Remember to leave some space between your bowl and the edge of your coin!
Only use shapes with NO UNDERCUTS!

A "foot" to the bottom
Click on the FLAT VIEW button.

Group all the objects.
Select the one grouped shape.
Export your prototype as a .stl file
Slice your design with either the Afinia or Dremel slicing software.
Layer Thickness --> Set to 0.3mm
Infill --> Set to 13% or 15%
Raft --> Optional
Supports --> No Supports
Preview your object in the slicing software.
Take a screenshot showing the PRINT TIME and PRINT MATERIAL.
Print your work!
You can print on either the Afinia or Dremel printers.
Prints can NOT be longer than 2 hours
Prints can NOT use more than 200 grams
