All children who are separated from their parent/chaperone and found by the PGA or a Volunteer will be taken to Volunteer Headquarters, located near the Main Entrance.
STEPS TO TAKE WHEN APPROACHED BY A LOST CHILD:
When a parent and child are separated and you are approached by the child, take the child to the nearest radio. Radios are located with each Hole Captain and Rules Official.
Radio to “Dispatch” and let the operator know that you have a child that has been separated from their parent.
Tournament Dispatch will inform the PGA and a staff person will come to you to pick up the child.
Stay with the child until a PGA Staff member takes the child from you.
STEPS TO TAKE WHEN APPROACHED BY A PARENT LOOKING FOR A CHILD:
When a parent and child are separated and you are approached by the parent, take the parent to the nearest radio. Radios are located with each Hole Captain and Rules Official.
Radio to “Security” and inform them of the situation.
After you are done speaking to Security, turn your radio to the “Marshal” channel and inform all listening that a child is missing. Describe the child and inform those listening to radio “Dispatch” if they find the child.
Inform the parent that all children will be taken to Volunteer Headquarters when they are found. Advise the parent to wait at Volunteer Headquarters for the child or explain that they may look for the child and periodically check-in with Volunteer Headquarters to see if the child has arrived.
