As a student of Petroc, you are automatically also a member of the Student Union.
The Union is run by students to support other students with all aspects of college life including clubs, social and fundraising events.
The Petroc Student Union (PSU) is run by an Executive Committee of up to 10 elected students who are here to implement new ideas, support student-led activities, and represent your voice. Each student on the committee has a different role, but together with our members are a Union of Students where individuals connect, have fun, build communities, share experiences, and make change.
The Union is here to make sure every Petroc Student has the best student experience possible and is the place to find support, discover something new, or make a change in the world.
Being part of the Executive Committee is an excellent experience and will certainly help to enhance your CV and add to your personal statements if applying to university. It is also a chance to get more involved with college life and make a difference for your fellow students.
There are two elections held per academic year to fill vacancies on the Executive Committee, September/October and in May/June - look out for updates and more details on this on your emails and the monthly student newsletter.
