LGBTQIA+ champion
If you're a young person you may find that being Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Transgender, or questioning your sexuality or gender identity can be difficult. This site is for you, have a look around.
The LGBTQIA+ social group at Petroc is a welcoming space where learners who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, or their allies, are able to come and meet others over a hot drink and biscuits.
Occasionally the group welcomes visitors from outside organisations such as Intercom and Explore, to raise awareness of how they support young LGBTQIA+ people.
The group also attends the annual Exeter Pride for the Rainbow March, and welcomes suggestions about other events or visitors that learners may be interested in.
We currently meet weekly on Wednesday afternoons.

Proud2Be is a grassroots user-led social enterprise that supports LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and/or questioning+) people in Devon and beyond, to lead empowered, fulfilled and authentic lives. They host regular in-person and online support groups hello@proud2be.co.uk
-Xplore run two youth groups for young people in Devon who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) or questioning (Q) their sexual orientation or gender identity. Groups run in Exeter and Barnstaple.
