Funding Sources

Guides to Funding at Penn

  • This is a guide created by Budget Committees over 2007-2009 and members of SAC Exec at the same time to provide information on how to locate funding through the University. It is quite outdated, so take its advice with a grain of salt (or more), but let it be a good model for how to create consolidated guides for other campus resources.

  • This is a guide created by members of the UA and SAC Exec in 2013 to update the guide above into a more user-friendly format. Once again, some information in this is a bit outdated, and members of the Budget Committee (or any UA member) could take it upon themselves to research updates to this guide. This guide is currently being updated by Samantha Shea (UA Treasurer) and Michael Krone (UA Speaker)

  • The Common Funding Application is a way for student groups to apply to all funding boards (including UA Contingency) at once. It is a convenient way for student groups to apply for funding. Students can create accounts at www.penncfa.com, which features this handy-dandy infographic.

  • Click on the link above to be directed to the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) website. There are many helpful forms and resources for how to get funding for student groups on this website. All SAC-recognized groups are paired with a financial advisor through OSA, but all student groups are welcome to stop by OSA at 200 Houston Hall for financial advice.
