We welcome a variety of faculty engagement from placing students at the WRC for academic practicums to co-hosting events that would be beneficial to our students. Please email us at wrc@pdx.edu if you have an interest in collaborating with us.
The Women’s Resource center has worked with faculty in a number of different disciplines and departments. We are interested in co-sponsoring events, having guest lectures, or supporting your students in bringing events and programs to our space.
At the WRC, we work hard to support the development of our world's next feminist leaders. The WRC offers many ways to engage meaningfully with feminist leadership.
Some themes of our leadership opportunities include mentorship, feminists of color, reproductive justice, body politics, peer student support and community stewardship.
Some benefits of participating in leadership at the WRC:
professional and academic success support
increased emotional intelligence and collaboration opportunities
relationship and community-building
development of specific skill in customer service, project development, event planning, and goal setting
intersectional feminist identity development
deeper engagement with social justice issues through a feminist lens
practical applications for academic learning
