Doctoral Program Faculty Membership/Voting Structure

Approved 4/16/2019

The doctoral program will be most effective when all faculty working in the program are active, engaged members of the Doctoral Program Faculty.

Voting members of the Doctoral Program Faculty (DPF) will consist of all faculty with .50 FTE or greater (including adjunct, NTTF, and emeriti faculty) who are teaching or advising in the doctoral program during the current academic year. Advising is defined as being an assigned student advisor during first two years of the program or serving as a dissertation chair.

A list of voting members will be generated at the beginning of each academic year based on faculty workload projections. Department chairs will assign all eligible members from their department to the DPF at the beginning of each year. Updates to DPF membership can be made throughout the year should assignments change.

Doctoral Program Faculty membership commitments include:

All COE faculty are welcome to attend DPF meetings, but they will not qualify as voting members unless they are currently teaching or advising in the doctoral program as identified above.
