EMAIL/ Message me IMMEDIATELY if you can't access something. Some of the sharing permissions have been messed up!!
As I'm sure you have all figured out, I am not a big fan of extra credit. I am a firm believer that if you want to improve your grade, you should just do the assigned work and take advantage of the revise and resubmit policies (seriously.... do that).
That being said, I understand that sometimes we need to boost our grades. I also hope that some of you will find topics that interest you and want to dig deeper into them than we have time for in class. So I present to you the OPTIONAL ASSIGNMENTS!!
General Directions:
Complete these tasks or don't. The choice is completely yours.
Please be aware that these assignments will actually be GRADED on CONTENT, not simply completion. They will not, however, be entered into Infinite Campus if they have a negative effect on your grade. See the details of each specific task for how the assignment will be counted.
Make sure to follow ALL THE DIRECTIONS on the actual assignment. Come see me if you have any questions or need help.
SOME of these assignments may be completed on paper. If you need me to print the document for you, you need to EMAIL ME.
Follow ALL directions for submitting the assignments digitally. Use THIS GOOGLE FORM TO SUBMIT optional assignments. Make sure you have properly named the document and that you have set the SHARE permissions so that I have EDIT ACCESS.
OPTIONAL ASSIGNMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED BEFORE THE UNIT TEST AT THE END OF THE UNIT. This is NOT a negotiable deadline. Anything turned in after the Unit Test will not be graded. You can revise and resubmit if needed, up until the Unit Test. Keep in mind, you normally have 7-10 days warning before a Unit Test. Don't wait until the last minute.
OPTIONAL ASSIGNMENTS -- REVIEW/ EXTRA PRACTICE
(Reinforce the topics that we covered in class)
These Crossroads Essays are both a review and an extension of the material covered in class.
You may complete this task EITHER digitally or on paper. If you would like a PAPER COPY of this essay, please EMAIL me. I will print it out for you. You can also, obviously, print it yourself if you are able.
Please name your new document with your NAME and the ESSAY TITLE (ex: JRichter The Founding of New Societies).
When submitted and graded, this will be counted as a DOUBLE CLASSWORK GRADE.
This is an extensive and in depth review of the key terms and concepts in Period 2. If completed effectively, this is an EXCELLENT tool to study for Unit Assessments, Final Exams, and the AP Exam.
