World Languages

Students are required to earn 2 credits of a world language for graduation. Both credits must be for the same language. Dobie High School offers multiple options to fulfill the world language credit requirement for graduation.

World Language Options:

American Sign Language I

French I-Only offered at Dobie9

German 1-Only offered at Dobie9

Spanish 1

Spanish 2

Pre-AP Spanish 3

If you are currently taking Spanish 1 as an 8th grader, you will need to register for Spanish 2.

If you have already earned credit for Spanish 1 & 2 by taking the class or by taking the credit by exam, your options are as follows:

• Continue to Pre-AP Spanish 3

• Register for classes for another language, if you're interested.

• You are not required to take a world language because you have fulfilled the graduation requirement.
