Swim & Water Polo Team FAQ's

When are tryouts for the swim team?

Tryouts are usually held in August the week before school starts. You must have a physical on file.

Is experience required?

Experience is not required, but prior swim background would be beneficial.

How can I best prepare to make the swim team?

To best prepare to make the swim team, learn skills such as breathing with your head under water, etc.

What is expected of student athletes on your team?

Practices are held during 7th period until 3:45 at the BHI pool. There is no direct cost initially to join the team. You will need a swimsuit and goggles.

What time of year is your season?

Swim season runs August through February. Water Polo season runs from February to April
