What kind of practical work do we do in Year 11?
Year 11 is mainly used to prepare you for your HSC and Major Project so we will try and build your skills so that you are able to use these in Year 12. We will work with the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite which gives you access to graphic design, video editing, web development, photography, animation and all various multimedia elements.
What can I create for my Major Project in Year 12?
You can create anything you like as long as it is considered multimedia This means that it needs to compromise a combination of various media such as video, audio, text, animation and graphics. You could create a game, an animation, documentary, short film, an app, 3D design and the list goes on!
What needs to accompany my Major Project and who marks it?
As well as your project, you need to submit an 80 page folio and a 6-minute screen capture of the creation of your project from the beginning stages to the end product. Your project and folio are marked externally by a team of markers who come into the school.
Do you do any theory work in multimedia?
Yes absolutely! You need to remember that there is also a 1.5hr exam that you need to sit for your HSC so you need to know your content in order to succeed in this subject as well as your Major Project.
