Religious Education

Studies in Catholic Thought is suited to students who:

• Do not wish to go to university;

• Want to learn more about their Catholic faith

• Enjoy working as part of a group;

• Want to use a variety of methods to complete tasks (video creation, blogging etc);

1 Unit - 2 Lessons a Week

Suited to students who:

• Want to take an extension subject (maths, english, history);

• Wish to go to university;

• Enjoy working primarily as individuals;

• Have an interest in studying Christianity and Islam;

• Are extremely self motivated and understand that the majority of work will be completed outside of the classroom;

• Are confident readers and writers;

1 Unit - 2 Lessons a Week

Suited to students who:

• Wish to go to university;

• Enjoy working as individuals and in groups;

• Have an interest in studying Christianity, Islam and Judaism;

• Are self motivated and understand that a large amount of work will be completed outside of the classroom;

• Are confident readers

• Are confident in structuring and writing short answer responses and essays

• Can sustain writing for 3 hours.
